In the beginning, repair work was
performed in particular for the local wood-working industry.
Already in
the late 60s, KALLFASS was among the first to built one of the first stackers
for sawn timber.
In 1975, Ernst Kallfass, the founder's son entered the
company, and in 1984, the company was handed over to him. Under his
management, manufacturing was rationalised, products were further developed and
the existing single machines and conveyors combined to complete manufacturing
systems.
From this time onwards, the growing trend of performing pallet
wood cuts straight to the sawmills opens up this clientele for flexible
cross-cut, stacking and sorting machines. With the efficiency of the
machine systems being above the average, the constantly increasing requirement
profile in the wood-working industry due to further technological developments
has always been met in all respects.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall,
another production plant was opened in Werningrode/Harz in 1993.
In
1999, the company celecbrated its 50th anniversary.
Currently, KALLFASS
has approx. 70 employees. |
